Smart City Graz
Städtebaulicher Rahmenplan für einen multifunktionalen Stadtteil

Urban development framework plan for a multifunctional district The first Smart City in Graz has been developed on a brownfield site to the west of Graz’s main railway station. The Smart City is a district with a high quality of life and uses contemporary technologies to implement energy-efficient and resource-conserving district development. A vibrant, functionally mixed living space with minimal to no CO2 emissions and low energy consumption is the declared goal, whereby not only the topics of renewable energy, energy grids and building technologies play a role, but also green mobility and social mixing as well as the participation of the population in “their” district were taken into account. The area is perfectly accessible via a new streetcar line.

Kleboth und Dollnig drew up the urban development framework plan for this starting in 2013.
