Gölsdorf Areal
Old trees and a pioneering piece of the city

The guiding principle of this urban development is the preservation of the tree population as both identity-creating and milieu-forming fixed points. These groups of trees define public squares and create organic urban spaces that form varied and completely unique building plots.

This organic urban space is complemented by inviting arcades in the first floor zone, which offer convenient transitions to local suppliers and service providers. As the height increases, the building volumes taper, forming terraces and thus not only creating attractive open spaces, but also guaranteeing light and views of their neighbors.

A car-free urban space, the two-storey collective garage, minimized building development and sealing, a high-speed cycle path along the railroad, a balanced mix of uses and much more make this compact, vertically dense design a sustainable and forward-looking piece of the city.
